We arrived in Mt Field National Park with our young family in 2012, owners of Waterfalls Cafe & Gallery in the Mt Field Visitor Centre. We always knew we wanted to build accommodation, but every hurdle was put in our way.

We turned our Cafe into a valuable part of the Mt Field visitor experience, and continued to push forward with our dreams for the Retreat. In 2023, our first 4 pods opened and we could not have been prouder — well, that was until October 2025 when the next 8 pods welcomed their first guests.

There is still more to come though… more pods, and a Conference Centre to allow for Gallery exhibitions, business events, weddings and so much more. We dream big, and are so grateful you are part of our journey.

If you would like to follow our progress, please follow us on Facebook or Instagram.

Greg's photography

Greg has spent years photographing Mt Field across every season, hour and weather condition. His images are a big part of how we tell this place's story — you'll find them in the pods, on our socials, and woven through this guest book.

If you catch a great shot during your stay, we would genuinely love to see it. Tag us on socials with #SpottedAtMtField or send it to info@mtfieldretreat.com.au.
